The site and the wall run on Vercel, and the names on it live in a Neon database. Both are free until enough people turn up, and enough people have turned up.

Where it goes
unemployed runs on your own laptop, which is the whole point of it, and that part costs me nothing to give away. Everything around it does cost something: this site, the wall, the database holding it up, the domain it sits on. That bill arrives whether or not anyone buys me a coffee, and at the moment I am paying it out of a student account while looking for a job.
The domain
Renewed once a year, in advance, whether or not anybody visits.
Nothing else
No ads to buy, no team to pay, no model to rent. The model runs on your machine, which is the reason the tool itself costs nothing to run.
